Atelier Zurich

Tina Grässli studied textile design at Zurich University of the Arts. In 1994, she founded the fashion label xess-baba and since 2004 she is leading the company together with her partner Christian La Roche towards new heights of success. One of the main achievements is certainly the opening of the label’s first flagship store in Zurich in August 2004. In April 2013 the second store „xess+baba First&2nd“ opened its doors close to the train station „Stadelhofen“ in Zurich.

xess+baba designs two collections every year and is selling knitwear of finest quality not only through numerous boutiques in Switzerland but also internationally.

In 2001/2, Tina Grässli won the Idego Company subsidy contract. In 2004 she further got awarded the „silberner Hase“, the design award by the Swiss national television, the advancement ward by the Federal Office of Culture and was nominated for the Swiss Design Award in 2007.

The Swiss designer and entrepreneur is living and working in Zurich.
